The Crew · Answering agent · Waitlist — not live yet
The phone rings. Your hands are full.
We're building an agent that answers the shop's phone with the same facts as your website and books the job mid-call. Straight up: it's not live yet. This page is a free waitlist — no charge, no obligation. We'll only call it shipped when it is.
You're under a sink with a wrench on a fitting when the phone buzzes in your pocket. Or you're on a roof. Or mid-cut, and the client in the chair is watching you in the mirror. You can't answer. You never can, when it matters.
That caller doesn't wait. They don't leave a voicemail. They call the next name on the list, and somebody else's truck is in that driveway Thursday. You didn't lose the call. You lost the job.
The fix isn't answering faster. You're one person, and your hands are the business. The fix is someone who picks up every time, knows your shop cold, and books the work — without you touching the phone.
How it will work
Honest tense: this is the design we're building, not a product you can use today.
The phone rings. The agent picks up.
Your business line forwards to the agent — built on Retell AI and Twilio, real phone infrastructure. Nothing for your customers to install or figure out.
It answers from your website's facts.
Its knowledge base is your site's content file — the same one your Website agent keeps current. Hours, services, service area: one source of truth, updated once.
It doesn't guess.
If a caller asks something outside what you've put in that file, it says so and takes a message. No made-up prices. No promises you didn't make.
It books the job mid-call.
Caller wants Tuesday morning? It checks your calendar through Cal.com and books the slot while they're still on the line.
The caller gets a text confirmation.
Time, date, done — in writing, before they hang up. No "did that actually get scheduled?"
You get the record, not the interruption.
Every call summarized for you. The judgment calls still come to you — the rest is handled by the time you wipe your hands.
What it will do
- Answer your business line when your hands are full — every time
- Speak from your website's facts: hours, services, service area
- Book appointments mid-call, straight onto your calendar
- Text the caller a confirmation before they hang up
- Leave you a record of every call, so nothing slips
What it won't do
- Ship today. It's a prototype on a waitlist — this page says so on purpose.
- Guess. If your site's facts don't cover it, it takes a message instead.
- Quote prices or make promises you haven't put in writing
- Make judgment calls — those still come to you
- Charge you anything to wait in line
Not live yet — and we won't pretend otherwise.
The Answering agent is a working prototype, not a shipping product. The Website agent is the one Chatterbuilt product that's live today — it built and runs this site. Everything above describes how the Answering agent is designed to work, not what you can buy right now.
Joining the waitlist means one thing: we'll email you when it's ready, and you decide then. It's free. There's no charge, no commitment, and no card. Pricing will be announced when it ships. Full Chatterbuilt access is included with a paid subscription to The Artificially Intelligent Enterprise — the waitlist doesn't require one.
FAQ
Straight answers.
Is this live today?
No. The Answering agent is a prototype on a waitlist. The Website agent is the one Chatterbuilt product that's live — this site runs on it. We describe what's shipped as shipped, and this isn't yet.
What will it cost?
Not announced. Pricing comes when the product ships — we won't put a number on something you can't use. What's decided: full Chatterbuilt access is included with a paid subscription to The Artificially Intelligent Enterprise, and the waitlist is free either way.
Where will it get its answers?
From your website's content file — the same one your Website agent maintains. Change your hours once and both the site and the phone have it. One source of truth, so the phone never contradicts the website.
What happens when it doesn't know the answer?
It says so and takes a message. The design is simple: it speaks from the facts you've given it and hands everything else to you. An answering agent that guesses is worse than voicemail.
Do I need the Website agent first?
They're built to work together — the Answering agent reads the file the Website agent keeps current. If you're on Chatterbuilt today, you're already building the knowledge base the phone will use. Details on setup come when it ships.
Not live yet. Worth a spot in line.
The waitlist is free and carries no obligation. We'll email when the Answering agent is ready — you decide then. Until it ships, the Website agent is ready now.
